Dr. Theresa Casper-Klock was born and raised in the Auburn area. Since the age of 8 years old, Dr. Casper-Klock has always wanted to be a dentist. Having now practiced for over 27 years, she has no regrets in her decision. Dr. Casper-Klock graduated from Cayuga Community College with honors, and from SUNY at Buffalo with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology. In 1990 she graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and immediately returned to Auburn to practice general dentistry, which to her is more accurately called “Family Dentistry”. She enjoys getting to the office every day and helping her patients look and feel their best! She recommends treatment to her patients based on a simple principle: would she recommend the treatment to her mother, father, brother, or sister?
Being a dedicated professional, she has earned over 700 hours in continuing education classes. She maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Seventh District Dental Society, and the Cayuga County Dental Society. She is the immediate past President of the Seventh District Dental Society, one of the thirteen component districts in the NYS Dental Association. Dr. Casper-Klock maintains her Fellowship status in both the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International Dental Implant Association, and actively participates in the CEREC Study Club of Rochester.
Dr. Casper-Klock enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering her time and talent at various dental events. She has driven to several Missions of Mercy in various locations around New York state. In 2016 she traveled at her expense to the Dominican Republic to participate in a medical mission trip. But her favorite day of the year is the "Veterans Appreciation Day"! She and her team provide free dental services to our local Veterans at her own office. In an effort to help remove some of the mystery that people have about what dentists do, she has opened her office to numerous groups for tours and demonstrations of her office technology. She has made several presentations at Career Days and Health Fairs, and has mentored several students considering dental assisting, hygiene, and dentistry as their career.
Outside of dentistry she and her husband, Vincent, enjoy traveling and keeping busy with their four adult children: Andrew, Peter, Eric and Cynthia. When time allows, Theresa enjoys cooking and decorating cakes, and now, planning weddings! She is also an active member of Ss. Mary & Martha Roman Catholic Parish.
